With this website, I hope to reflect on the most important things in my life; health, fitness, food, finance, and travel. I want to share with you experiences I have had from being a parent to five children, working in commercial real estate, working in high school athletics, to moving to a new place across the country where I knew no one. I'm now becoming an empty nester, traveling, eating good food, staying healthy and fit, and managing my finances to be able to do the things I love. If you can take away one thing from this website, then I did what I set out to do; help others live simply.

I have been in good health most of my life, but as most of us do, my weight fluctuated a lot. I have lost a good amount of weight twice in my life. I tried Keto, cutting calories, HCG, portion control. Through these experiences, I finally learned what my body needs with creating good eating habits. I lost both of my parents in 2016 and that was a hard time mentally and physically, so not only if you make good food choices, and move your body everyday, it not only helps your physical health, but also your mental health.
When I was younger, I was active with playing soccer in school, but as I got older, life came at me and I gave my time to everyone but myself. Such a bad excuse, but truth. When I was younger, I was active with playing soccer in school, but as I got older, life came at me and I gave my time to everyone but myself. Such a bad excuse, but truth. With age, comes wisdom, and I have learned to put myself first. I try to move my body everyday and it help to give me my time as well. I go for a hike, or walk on the treadmill, and I try to get abs, strength, and mobility in as well. I'm fortunate to have a home gym (guest room converted) so I no longer have any excuses!
Food, what an amazing thing. When I was younger, I didn't eat much in the way of good food. Chicken tenders and fries was usually my meal of choice. My how things have changed. I have been fortunate to have someone in my life who loves to cook and experiment with a variety of cuisines, as well as just healthy things for us to enjoy.
As a child, my father taught me to budget. Every time I would cash my check, we would divide the money and put into the budget envelopes. As I got older, that grew into savings. One thing about me, is I am always looking for the best deal and looking for rebates, points, etc. My husband said he married me because I was "cheaper" than he was.
I didn't travel much when I was younger, other than to take our yearly trip to Myrtle Beach. My senior year of high school, I had the opportunity to go to Europe with school. My mother was born in Germany, so that was exciting to broaden my horizon. Since then, I have visited 12 countries, and 19 US states. I do have a long list of places I still would like to visit in my lifetime.
